Spread Love and Be Loved Prevailing Over Barriers

My fat little nephew, Soham, stays with his parents in Dubai and he is such an amazing child that he is sure to leave anyone in awe. From a very tender age, he has the habit of keeping his room tidy, folding up the sheets every morning and keeping his shoes in shoe-racks, without fail. My sister-in-law would always tell us proudly how her son never ceases to amaze her with his little bit of duties every day.

To my utter grief, my brother and his family left for Dubai last year. The same year in the month of April, I got engaged to be married to Bhusanand to our disappointment my brother could not make it to my engagement ceremony after futile efforts. Despite the fact that we all continuously missed my dear brother and his family, Ma did not let me feel the woes and turned my engagement to a huge success. My dad entertained everyone relentlessly and did not rest until all the guests left contended.

Kids Rakhi

My fiancé turned out to be a man with a hilarious sense of humour. Knowing the circumstances, he too made sure my smile never faded and kept me going with continuous support. And he was the one who came with the splendid advice of celebrating e-rakhi, so to speak.

I went through Rakhigiftsideas.net as suggested by Bhusanand saw the option to send Rakhi to Dubai. There were many Rakhi gifts as well and I thought of sending rakhis to my sister-in-law and my nephew as well as my brother. I was more than delighted to find a filter called Kids rakhi that specializes in cartoon and colourful rakhis for children; also there was lumba rakhi for sisters-in-Law.

Among all Rakhi gifts, I chose soft-toys and chocolates for the young and personalized coffee mugs for the duo. I chose a soft-blue coloured kids rakhi for Soham and a rakhi set from the collection displayed in the ‘bhaiya bhabi ki rakhi’ option. Then I chose the Rakhi to Dubai course of action and sent those right away.

Few days hence, when I was excitedly sharing the experience of this online rakhi celebration with my awe-inspired Mom and Dad, came my brother’s call all the way from Dubai. Archana, my sister-in-law thanked us, iterating that she just loved the personalized mugs and that Soham could not stop gobbling down the chocolates. She even told me she has sent a handbag for me which is probably on the way. Later Animesh, my brother took over to enquire our well-being and conveyed rakhi greetings to us all. Soham later that day, video chatted with me, his voice full of excitement thanking me for the gifts.

I thanked Bhusan in return, confessing I could not have enjoyed this year’s rakhi this much without his idea. I had to admit too that he does make me feel home, already, even though we have just known each other.

Never Miss a Reason to Celebrate with Rakhigiftsideas.net

We are three sisters and unfortunately have no brother among our close kins. It is needless to say we never had the fortune of tying a rakhi around a brother’s wrist and knowing how it feels.

Angana and me, we reside in London and Kashmira stays in California. Due to our job, we had to part with each other. But much to Angana’s relief, I got to stay in London with her. Angana is a cardiologist based here and I have my own business for which I am always going to distant places.

Rakhi

We worked hard to achieve our dreams and had the fortune of trotting the world. The only regret we all have is leaving our mother behind in India. Ever since our dad died, my mother fought tooth and nail to bring us up. Kashmira, being the eldest, had to eventually become our mother figureowing to Ma’s declining health. As time went on, one by one we all got married and settled abroad. Except for me though, I kept coming back to India and stayed for long stretches before boarding the plane again.

To make up for not being able to celebrate rakhi with a brother, since we have none, we used to commemorate this day by tying rakhis on each other’s wrists and showering Ma with gifts! Angana had a fascination towards bracelet rakhis as she believed she could wear the rakhis as a fashion accessory even after the festival gets over.

Last year Kashmira came up with a unique idea. She had this plan to send rakhi gifts to India for Ma via Rakhigiftsideas.net. We both agreed on her terms and set on surfing Rakhigiftsideas.net. Both of us wanted to send rakhi to California for Kashmira as well. Also, I chose a silver bracelet rakhi for Anganaand a teddy bear with it and kept it a secret from her.

Duly we did send rakhi to California and Kashmira was all smiles after receiving two designer rakhis from each of us. She expressed amazement at it saying that we only agreed to send rakhi gifts to India for Ma. Angana hugged me tight after receiving her own silver bracelet rakhi and could not stop staring at it. What’s more, my cute little niece seemed to like the teddy I bought for Angana and declared with utter solemnness that she would not part with it, no matter what! And for me, I received rakhis and a hand-knit sweater from Kashmira, Angana and Ma respectively! My uncle from Dubai has remembered us all and sent each of us a box of sweets, too.

All in all, Rakhigiftsideas.net responsibly sent everything everywhere as per our requirements. We do have a savior now whenever we miss Ma or any of our kins; at least we can send them gifts and see a smile spread on their faces.

Relive the Beauty of Childhood Nostalgia, with Rakhi Gifts from Rakhigiftsideas.net

I work in the human resource department of a multinational company and every year I know Raksha Bandhan is knocking at the door, when the applications for leaves, suddenly go up in the month of August. It often leaves me wondering, what festivals are all about? Festivals are perhaps all about nostalgia, about people and their emotions. Festivals are about the spirit of love and joy, which money can never buy.  I remember my American CEO, once asking me, what is so special about Indian festivals? I told him, “You’ve got to experience it, to believe it “.

Being born and bought up in a Marwari family, rakhi was a great festival for us.  It was one of those few rarest of the rare days, when my brothers got up early and looked civilised! All the kids in the house got new dresses from our elders on the occasion of Rakhi and we had to wear them, before the Puja. I admit, I didn’t like the dressesevery time, but I hardly complained. Puja was performed by the priest, but more than the rituals the real attraction was in the motichoor ke ladoo, that was offered to the goddess. Mummy and aunties always made a lot extra, because every year,a sizeable portion used to go missing, before the event.

blog picIt’s been actually 5 long years that have tied rakhi on my brothers wrist, but Rakhigiftsideas.net  have always cheered me up by delivering my online rakhi gifts to my brother in Australia , without fail. I have come to depend on their service to send rakhi to Australia to such an extent that I really don’t feel the need to look into any other website. This year I decided to send my brother a diamond rakhi. Since an early age, he was fascinated by this one stone that has always been a girl’s best friend.  For a person who aspires to be a jewellery designer, nothing can be better than a diamond rakhi.

There are only few blessed people like me, in this universe, whose barely get a moment to hang up the phone or switch off her computer on the day of Rakhi. I miss my brother and my cousins, but each of them makes sure that I don’t feel lonely or sad on this special day. This has gifted me some of the most beautiful memories of our lives. Rakhigiftsideas.net too has been helping me for sending the online rakhi gifts.

Rakhi was the only time of the year, when as a woman I used to hang up my feminist boots and literally ask for money and gifts from my brother and cousins and needless to mention, like a true Marwari, they used to bargain and blackmail, for every single rupee, they used to spend on me. Today when I send rakhi to Australia, I wish I could pack those little tiny moments of childhood with them.
